Formulation and dosage details

Formulation:

Omega-3-acid ethyl esters: Capsules 1,000 mg (docosahexaenoic acid 380mg, eicosapentaenoic acid 460mg) (Restricted: Specialist recommendation only)

Indication: 

  • Supplement for patients receiving maintenance haemodialysis (off-label use).
    To be used in patients on chronic haemodialysis to reduce cardiovascular risk while this remains a relevant goal. Can be used in conjunction with other cardiovascular risk reduction medication.

Dose: 

  • As per BNF, with standard dosing: THREE tablets daily.
